About the role

Do you dream of running your own business one day, but want to gain more experience first? Or do you already have a few years of hospitality experience and feel ready for the next step? At SLA, there’s room for both. This position offers two entry levels:

Junior Store Manager — You don’t have management experience yet, but you do have a background in hospitality and the ambition to take that next step. You’ll learn on the job, supported by an experienced Store Manager, and gradually develop into an independent leadership role.

Store Manager — You already have leadership experience and are ready to take on more ownership. From the start, you’ll be (co-)responsible for the day-to-day operations and performance of the store. You’ll also help coach and develop the Junior Store Manager within your team.

Whichever level you join at, your goal is the same: to deliver the highest possible quality every day. And to us, that means more than serving a delicious, fresh and healthy salad — it’s about creating the complete SLA experience.

Tasks & responsibilities

Depending on your entry level, you’ll gradually take on the following responsibilities:

What we offer

Why SLA?
SLA is more than a salad bar. We make healthy and sustainable food accessible — and delicious. Our stores are places where people feel good, thanks to fresh food, a welcoming atmosphere and a team that genuinely enjoys what they do.

At SLA, you’ll have the space and support to grow, whatever level you join us at. And who knows? Maybe one day you’ll be running a store of your own.

what a day looks like

  1. 11:00

You start the day together with your team. You check how the store is looking, go through the main points of attention and make sure everything is ready to welcome our guests.

  2. 11:30

During the lunch rush, you actively work alongside your team on the floor. You keep an overview, support your team where needed and make sure the service runs smoothly and stays welcoming.

  3. 15:00

After lunch, you have time for the operational and organisational side of your role. You work on schedules, purchasing, organise team meetings and team outings, and take care of other tasks that keep the store running smoothly. In between, you stay involved on the floor: helping guests, making coffees and matchas, keeping the store organised and making sure the salad bar and mise en place are ready for the evening.

  4. 17:00

The first guests start coming in for the evening. Together with your evening team, you ensure great service. You keep an eye on quality, maintain an overview and make sure everyone knows what needs to be done.

  5. 19:00

At the end of your shift, you hand over responsibility to the evening team. You go through the key points of attention and make sure the team is well prepared to run and close the evening independently.
